Who is Steven Morgan?

If you want to shrink something,
you must first allow it to expand.
If you want to get rid of something,
you must first allow it to flurish.
If you want to take something,
you must first allow it to be given.
This is called the subtle perception
of the way things are.

The soft overcomes the hard.
The slow overcomes the fast.
Let your workings remain a mystery.
Just show people the result.

This is one of the proverbs of something called the Tao Te Ching. I try to live by this proverb, in my professional life. To me, this says that you must allow things to be what they are, before they can be the things that are needed. If you need water, go to the stream. If you need something to happen, you find the simplest means necessary, and then work through those means, by allowing them to happen. Think of it as if your mind is the pail that you take to the stream of knowledge and ingenuity. When faced with the problems that you need a solution to, you go to the stream and fill your pail.

In my professional life, and my personal life, I have had many changes. I have been part of the military. I have been a part of the automobile society. I have been in many different roles and enjoyed each of them for different reasons, and left each of them for different reasons. Now, I seek to go on to something else, and find the reasons to enjoy that. Hopefully, the next place that I fill the pail, will be the one place that I return to till my days are ended.
